MOONFLEET SMUGGLING TOUR

This fantastic minibus/walking tour takes you on a trip back into the classic Smuggling story of the 18th and 19th Centuries around the Fleet Lagoon, following in the footsteps of the “Free Traders” described in John Meade-Falkner’s book “Moonfleet”

The costumed guide will take you on a tour Smuggling Tour to discover the hidden paths, secret tunnels, beaches, and an isolated coves that were all used for Smuggling by the local gangs based in the area, as described in this story.

The story of the Elzevir Block and the Fleet Gang, with their arch enemy the Magistrate Mohune!

This is a walking/minibus tour, led by a costumed guide, starting outside the Pilgrim House in Hope Square, at Brewers Quay. Please email your preference – this tour has a 12-person capacity.
