Talk Content …
Come and learn about historical Smuggling in Dorset, with a taste of Georgian Britain on this fascinating Weymouth tour and taste experience. We combine tales from the golden and scientific ages of Smuggling from the 17th to 19th Centuries, with a chance to experience a taste of the period.
Tea and Chocolate were favourite drinks at the time, and both Green & Black leafed teas were drunk. Chocolate was blended with interesting spices to produce a richer tasting drink than we have today.
Our range of cakes include an 18th Century Gingerbread recipe from the 1800’s, and “Rout Cakes” , as well as other tasty samples of both Georgian & Regency period baking.
